Hundreds of woman police officers, or Polwan, and woman army members from all over Yogyakarta took part in replanting action, in Merapi mountain base, in tuesday morning, at Srunen, Glagaharjo, Sleman. The replanting of tree seeds was carried out, within the framework of commemorating Kartini day in the coming April twenty first.
Kasi Adovi of the directorate of air force academy education, Major Wara Ika Harwati, explained that Kartini day is a moment of the rise of women. Therefore, on the occasion of Kartini day, Polwan and army women from Yogyakarta want to share with people in Merapi slope, through the replant action.
Ika added that there are around seven hundred fifty plant seeds, among them are Mango, Hardwood. and Durian, that are planted in a six hectare-area in Srunen hamlet. Ika hoped that the plants will grow and flourish in Srunen area, as well as become beneficial both economically and geographically for the residents in the vicinity.
