Village as part of the administration of subdistrict and regency, has Potentials that need to be learned and developed, through village contest, GunungKidul regency government tries to exploit various potentials possessed by each village in GunungKidul regency.
Gunungkidul regency village contest assessment team, in friday noon, visited watusigar village in ngawen subdistrict. Watusigar village has been chosen for this year, to represent the subdistrict in participation to show the potential of the nature and local residents.
Starting from hygiene, service, and village administration, are assessed by the team of jury, in competiing with seventeen other villages from GunungKidul regency.
Head of the assessment team, Sujarwo, said that, the event is routinely held every year. This year is the third round in GunungKidul regency. The event is also part of the program of the central government, to learn and develop village potential, in the future, GunungKidul regency government will select one village, to represent them in provincial village contest.
