Solo city has succeded in achieving award from Indonesian museum of Record—Muri, as the first and only city that operates double Decker bus. The double Decker that is named Werkudoro, is also the first domestically-produced double decker.
The four thousand eight hundred and twenty third Muri record award which is awarded to Solo city, which operates Werkudoro bus, as the first double Decker in Indonesia, is given by the representative of Indonesian record museum, Sri Widayati, to the mayor of Solo, Widodo, as the pioneer of the procurement of the tourism double Decker bus. By paying twenty thousand rupiahs, passengers can travel around Solo city, especially to several tourism destination sites.
The presence of double Decker bus in Solo, is expected to be an example, of revitalization of the existing Public transportation mode in Indonesia, especially to anticipate the traffic density, which is getting more and more dense every day.
