As the result of cultural dialogue that unified differences, Japan-Jogja artist collaboration performance was finally held in monday evening, at the amphitheatre of Taman Budaya Yogyakarta, by representing four reertoires. Artists from both countries who participated in the performance, among others, are, Jemek Supardi, Suwarto, Haryanto Taliwangsa, Ayako Yamashita, and Michiko Chida.
Art is an expression that can unifiy many differences, be it individual, religious, cultural, ethnic, even national, in an institution of cultural dialogue. This philosophy is what that inspired artists from two countries, Japan and Yogyakarta-Indonesia, to make a collaboration of ideas or the elements of difference, in a performance themed Japan-Jogja artist collaboration, in Taman Budaya Yogyakarta amphitheatre, in monday evening. The first repertoire was Begun with a performance by two Japanese artists, who are, theatre artista, Michiko Chida, and dance artista, Ayako Yamashita, titled, Dek Kek Ngka.
The performance was continued with a repertoire titled “Bisa Apa Saja”, by multi talented musician, Makoto nomura from Japan. It was then followed by the third repertoire, which was the core of the monday evening performance, in Taman Budaya Yogyakarta amphitheatre, titled, “Japan-Jogja collaboration”, by Jogjanese pantomime artists, Jemek Supardi, Suwarto, Ki Mujar Sangkerta, Ayako Yamashita, and Michiko Chida. Playing the instruments were, Haryanto Taliwangsa, Y Subowo, Kumiko Yabu, and Makoto Nomura.
The idea of the performance, was also a continuation from solidarity act, by jogjanese artists, for Japan Tsunami Disaster.
