Romanticism is a part which brings about happiness to the Yogyakarta isi (Indonesian institute of art) Alumni artist community of nineteen ninety six class. to revive romanticism, Detik ninety six community hold the second reunion art exhibition, in Taman Budaya Yogyakarta. Tenths of works of art are exhibited, as a form of their consistency, to the way of live they have chosen since graduating college.
Opened by gbph Yudaningrat, art exhibition themed “uprising” which is presented by the family of detik ninety six, shows various works of art from its members. The shown works are highlighting many themes, starting from social matters as the impacts of modernization, to the past two thousand ten Merapi eruption impacts.
This exhibition is the fourth exhibition by detik ninety six family after graduating from isi Yogyakarta, as well as their second reunion exhibition. Although not all of nineteen ninety six class alumni become artists, it is but a trivial matter, and has no need to be debated about. It is because every graduate has their own way in life, that is suitable with their liking. In a matter of surviving, there are several names, that stay in the path of art, as well as actively involved in art exhibitions, both in Indonesia, and outside of the country, such as made Palguna, Agus Baqul, Januri, Nyoman Suyasa, to Nengah Sujena.
Through the exhibition, detik ninety six family hopes that the event will not become merely an event for fortune and popularity, but more as a meeting event for members, and appreciation to the public. The exhibition in Taman Budaya Yogyakarta will be held until the coming April twenty first.
