It has been proven by the fact that, since two thousand six quake, many owners of Joglo houses in heritage area in Kotagede, who sold the buildings to collectors outside the region. Whereas, those buildings have high historical value, as origin of Mataram Kingdom History.

Because of that matter, many private owners of Joglo houses in Kotagede cultural conservation heritage area sold their Joglo houses, to the collectors out of the region. Usually, the Joglo buildings are made into Homestay residences in tourism sites. Lurah of Jagalan, Banguntapan, Bantul, Salehuddin, revealed that since two thousand six, as many as thirty five out of four hundred and fifty Joglo houses included in Kotagede cultural conservation property, had been sold by their owner, under the reason of incapability in rehabilitating the house after the quake. Much more concerning is the fact that, Joglo buildings that have high historical values, were sold at a very cheap price, between nineteen to forty million rupiahs.
Until now, in Jagalan Kelurahan, Banguntapan, Bantul, there are five private or public buildings that need rehabilitation or Reconstraction with large funds. It has been targeted that, all cultural conservation buildings in Kotagede can be restored by the coming two thousand fifteen.
