In the opportunity, there was a signing of the joint management agreement of Kotagede cultural conservation area, between Yogyakarta municipal government and Bantul regency.

Kotagede area is considered a cultural conservation property, because it is the former capital of the first Islamic Mataram Kingdom, which was the origin of Mataram Javanese culture. With the reopening of Kotagede cultural conservation building, Jogjakarta governor hoped that it will provide advantages toward the empowerment of local people, who will also enjoy the positive effect, of the reawakening of tourism sector in Kotagede area.
