Educative models are generally made of materials with high economic value. Therefore, many providers of middle level education, have not used educative models as learning media. Whereas, used items can be utilized as interesting learning media.

So far, damen, or paddy stem, is only used as livestock feed. Whereas, damen can be made into damen puppet as cheap and beneficial educative models.
In the training, the making of damen puppet was also practiced, starting from making the bamboo frame to shaping damen into an attractive puppet. Training participants were later invited to practice using damen puppet as educational media. Aside from being attarctive, damen puppet can also be played in groups, that it can trigger a child’s creativity, and therefore, improving their intelligence.
With the training, it is expected that it will be practiced by the participants, who are also early-age educators, in their respective schools, that it can expand children’s knowledge about the world of puppetry.
