Thousands of catholics in Klaten, celebrated the palm sunday eucharist, in Santa Maria Assumpta church, Klaten. Palm sunday celebration is an opening series of holy week commemorating the death of Jesus Christ. The congregation went with a parade, as a symbol of the welcoming of Jesus Christ to Mankind.
The last sunday was palm Sunday, a celebration which begins the series of holy week commemorating the death of Jesus Christ, that will be on the coming Friday, april the twenty-second. In his homily, Klaten Parish Priest, father Sutrasno, wanted to remind Indonesian people in general, and the catholics especially, about the important meaning and beauty of peace in living together. Like Jesus Christ, who came to this world, to be a symbol of peace.
