In the effort to preserve javanese culture, as well as remembering the deeds of theater artist, Ws Rendra, Jubah Macan theater of SMA 3 Yogyakarta, in saturday night, held a colossal performance. The performance which presented the struggle of Naga tribe story created by Ws Rendra, and delivered by sixty young actors, received applause from hundreds of spectators crowding Taman Budaya Yogyakarta.
Alinda Nur Fitriana, as the production head, said that the performance of Jubah Macan theater that presented the story of the struggle of naga tribe, is their thirty eighth performance. The story of the struggle of Naga tribe, that is created by Ws Rendra, and directed by Eringa Erfiana, tells about the struggle of women in fighting for independence, as well as criticizing the current practice of the government, which has many corruptions and deviations, which cause losses to the country. Alinda hoped that this performance, other than for entertainment, it can also be a reflection of everyday life for the youths, officials, or common people.
Putri, public relations of Jubah Macan theater, said that Jubah Macan routinely holds a performance once every one year. However, the saturday evening performance in Taman Budaya Yogyakarta seemed a bit different than the previous ones, because the spectators were much more numerous, reaching up to one thousand and two hundred people.
